THE VOLATILE ONE
For more than a quarter-century, “Volatile” Curtis Wylde has been getting under people's skin, commanding crowds, and leaving an impression throughout Midwest professional wrestling.
Wylde made his professional debut in December 1999 and developed into a veteran heel known for his presence, promo ability, character work, crowd psychology, and old-school approach to professional wrestling.
A longtime featured performer for Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling (SICW), Wylde has spent more than a decade competing in the St. Louis wrestling tradition descended from the legendary Wrestling at the Chase.
Whether standing across the ring from a young prospect, an established star, or a wrestling legend, the philosophy remains the same:
Work the crowd. Tell the story. Protect your opponent. Send them home talking.

25+ YEARS — AND STILL VOLATILE
Wylde's career has crossed multiple generations of independent professional wrestling.
He has worked throughout the Midwest, shared locker rooms and rings with nationally and internationally recognized talent, held championships across multiple promotions, and evolved from young wrestler to veteran performer without losing the personality that made him “Volatile.”
Outside the ropes, Curtis is an entrepreneur, published author, podcaster, motivational speaker, and founder of WyldeVision, LLC.
Inside them?
He's still The Lion of the Lou.
And he's still lacing the boots.
